Understanding the result
Ohm’s law uses V = I × R. Select the unknown quantity and enter the other two; power is voltage × current. A zero divisor cannot determine current or resistance.
Worked-use example
With 2 A through 6 Ω, voltage is 12 V and power is 24 W. Resistance cannot be calculated from 12 V and zero current alone.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mixing units, such as entering centimetres where metres are requested.
- Using a percentage as a whole number when the context expects a decimal, or the reverse.
